April Showers…

What do you  do when April showers provide a temporary pond in the school’s front yard?  Students in King Elementary’s 21st Century Nature Club took advantage of the wet weather and floated boats.  Using wrapping paper, paper sacks, construction paper, old magazines and aluminum foil; the students created origami style boats and set them asail.  Some tipped and some sunk, but most of them stayed afloat; gliding across the water in the abnormally cold breezes.  The most asked question of the afternoon was, “Can we do this again next week?”
