Counselor’s Corner
During whole group counseling class, Mrs. Mowery is currently focusing on friendship and cooperation. Kindergarten and first grade students have been working on how to be a good friend and how to keep friends. As part of this unit, older student have had to work in groups to complete different tasks. In second grade, students had to create silly monsters using scraps of construction paper. In third grade, students had to figure out how to fit four students onto a pretend lifeboat, as it shrunk. In fourth grade, students had to build towers out of tape and straws. Finally, in fifth grade, students had to piece together puzzles as a group.
