King Elementary 5th graders visited the Boone Y Camp on April 23rd. Students spent the day hiking, exploring the stream and learning about different types of environments.

It was an extra special Family Night as King Elementary School. Iowa State University was on hand to talk about ISU4U, their tuition defrayal program for King and Moulton students. DMPS will again offer breakfast and lunch over the summer months to children 18 and younger. The number of sites has grown, and so have the number of meals served. Last summer, DMPS staff fed children 28,722 breakfasts and 79,698 lunches. DMPS has sponsored a summer meal program for more than 30 years.
