Perfect Attendance


Wisdom Fode might not be setting World Records (yet), but he does have perfect attendance, three years running.  We celebrated 53 students with Second Quarter Perfect Attendance and 11 students with First Semester Perfect Attendance!   Click link for more pictures.


What does the Executive Order mean for refugees?


The Refugee Center is helping explain to refugees how the Executive Order will affect them. We currently have the following languages available and more are coming: English Amharic Arabic//   Chinese French Karen Kurdish Nepali Russian Spanish Turkish Vietnamese


King Elementary is an ISU 4U Promise School


King Elementary became an ISU 4U Promise school in 2015. The promise is that every student who comes to King and works hard will have a scholarship to go to college. Click on the headline to learn more.


Half Pints. Whole Hearts. Complete Amazement.


Students from Capitol View, Findley, Garton, Hillis, King, Morris and Stowe elementary schools gathered tonight at Central Campus for the Half Pint school vs. school poetry slam. Lead with Love


After the election we had many upset students. Mrs. Schwertley’s kindergarten class focused their day on kindness and peace. They focused on how proud we are that we love each other no matter what.  We ended the day knowing we could change the world by loving each other.
