School History

King Elementary is a K-5 building in the King-Irving Neighborhood.  Built in 1972, King Elementary was originally designed with an open floor plan.  Reconstruction was completed in 2008 to give classrooms full walls and doors.  King Elementary currently, serves three sections of all grade levels, K-5.  There are approximately 360 students enrolled each year.

In 2012, King Elementary was awarded a grant to host an after-school tutoring and enrichment program through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC).
