Dream Keepers Essay Contest

King Elementary and Moulton Extended Learning Center are happy to announce  the winners of the Dream Keepers essay contest.  Moulton and King students in grades 3 – 8 were invited to participate.  Students were encouraged to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In honor the 5oth anniversary of King’s famous speech, students were encouraged to write their own, “Dream Speech.”

Grand prize winners at each grade level received a new Gateway LT Series laptop!  An assembly in honor of the late Dr. King took  place in Moulton’s auditorium on Tuesday January 29th.  President Steven Leath from Iowa State University was in attendance to deliver a keynote address.  Representative Ako Abdul Samad was also present to congratulate winners and introduce Dr. Leath.
