Fourth Grade Learning

As Thanksgiving draws near, so does the end of unit #2 in reading and the end of multi-digit multiplication in math for King 4^th graders.  For the past 6 weeks in reading, King 4^th graders have been studying author’s purpose, theme, compare and contrast, and generalizations/conclusions.  They have also been focusing on the traits that a good reader uses.   For the past 6 weeks in math, King 4^th graders have been working on multiplication facts as well as multiplying two digit by two digit numbers.  They have also been working very hard on multi-step word problems.  Hopefully, our end of unit tests in both reading and math will show how much progress we have made!  After Thanksgiving break, King 4^th graders will be ready to move on to unit #3 in reading and geometry in math.
