Second Grade Learning

Second graders are working on ways to stay healthy. In the first two photos you will see the students charting the pictures on a paper of things that are healthy for them to eat and things that are not healthy for them to eat. In science, they are working on air and weather. This week we are talking about the four seasons and how they are alike and different.

For read aloud this month, we are reading “Matilda.” The students wrote about what makes Matilda such an interesting kid in the story. In math, second graders are working on counting and comparing three digit numbers. They are reading folktales this week and finding out what the character trait is for the characters in the story.
