Twenty King Elementary students are taking part of Half-Pints Poetry workshop twice a week.  The program works on learning the spoken word poetry process.  Half-Pints Poetry at King is lead by five high school mentors from Movement 515. …

A stretch of Forest Avenue looks a little better today thanks to the good work of its young neighbors. The King Crusaders, a newly formed group of student leaders at King Elementary School, will be taking on special projects throughout the year. Modeled after the Wolfpack program at Harding Middle School, King is the first elementary school to launch such a peer accountability leadership group.
